Inside Placenta Encapsulation!
It's no secret that there are people who are stand off-ish about placenta encapsulation. You probably get some confused looks the moment they hear the word placenta! Mention ingesting it and I think I've seen some faces turn green. Haha! I'm just kidding...sort of.
See most of what turns people away is the unknown. The thought of having a placenta in their home just goes way outside of their comfort zone and the thoughts of any possible benefits is obstructed by that of a bloody blob.
Well, let us put your mind at ease and give you the run down on what it will look like for you to have your placenta encapsulated by one of our Postpartum Placenta Specialists.
First off, we want you to know that you can see as much or as little as the process as you would like. Heck if you wanted to be involved, you'd have a professional there with you every step of the way.
We want to start by showing you what your finished product would look like. Your jar full of anywhere from {typically} 75-135 capsules will look no different than your every day herbal supplement.
The beginning of our process begins with a phone call. When you are looking for someone to transform your placenta into a supplement you will consume, you want to feel safe with who will be doing this for you! Once you decide to hire us to encapsulate for you, we will then drop off your personal transport kit for you to pack away in your hospital bag until the big day!
In the transport kit, we include everything you need to properly store your placenta {all but the ice itself!} as well as any packing and storing instructions.
After you deliver your placenta, and it is put on ice, you will have someone take it home and put it in your fridge for you where your Postpartum Placenta Specialist can then go to your home to start the process.
The whole process takes an hour and a half to two hours the first day AND the second day. We get questions about a possible smell or if they should allow family to be over visiting them and their new baby during the process.
I can tell you that we have processed placentas in the kitchen while family is over having dinner and though everyone knew what I was doing, it didn't interfere with their dinner or visiting.
Why do we process placentas in our client's homes and not our own?
While you will find placenta specialists offer to take your placenta home with them and bring it back to you ready to be consumed, we love that we can give you a 100% guarantee that we are indeed bringing back your placenta. Trust me, that's not always the case!
In addition to this guarantee, our process is done right in front of you so there is no question that you are getting exactly what you ask for...your placenta and your placenta only. No extra ingredients added. No spices...{again, trust me} Nothing.
Lastly, Wimington Coastal Doulas requires everyone in our agency be trained as a Postpartum Placenta Specialist. What does this mean for you?
